It’s not just JetBlue
Yesterday I had a business trip to Tampa that went totally awry. My flight out Sunday night was scheduled to depart 6:45 PM. I didn’t actually leave the ground until just after 1:00 AM. My hotel room had actually marked me as a no-show when I checked in around 5:00 AM. What airline did I fly? Continental. We spent 2 hours at the gate after being delayed an hour to board, and then the rest of the time in line to be de-iced. A storm came in while we were delayed, and the intial dealy was because the pilots for our plane were circling the airport on a previous flight. By the time they finally landed the snow and ice had built up on the wings enough that the plane had to be de-iced. Very annoying!
Btw, I’m writing this on Claire’s new laptop. It’s a Dell E1505, loaded with Vista. So far my initial impressions of Vista are underwhelming. I expected to be wow’ed with cool new features and thoughts of “well that’s a good way to do that feature” or “it’s about time they fixed that”. Instead I find it too similiar to XP. Still I’m curious to try using it with a lot of different applications, and see if it becomes more interesting.
